The library
Start from 162 production silhouettes that can be re-scaled, re-specced and re-covered for your residential or resimercial line.
Choose a silhouette and put its name and reference number in your brief. Then tell us what to change: fabric or leather, dimensions, foam or finish. If you already have drawings, we build from those instead. A program can start at a single piece, and it carries your label: our name doesn't appear on the piece or its packaging.

In-house departments, in Carson
We make the frames, upholstery and finishes in-house.
E and J has been building upholstered furniture in Los Angeles for more than twenty years. Frames are cut and joined in our own frame shop, and our cut-and-sew, foam, finishing and shipping departments do the rest, at our factory in Carson.
Wood finishes come in birch, cherry, maple, oak, walnut and alder, plus painted and artisanal finishes. Send a color or texture sample and we'll finish to it for your approval, or choose from our standard finishes.
Every program is quoted. Size, construction, materials, quantity and how often you reorder set the unit price. Freight is priced separately.

Drawings, a reference photo or a tearsheet (a catalog or magazine page showing the piece) is enough to start. Ask for an NDA before you send drawings.
Payment terms are 50% deposit at order, balance due before shipping. Programs are priced to compete on landed cost: the unit price plus freight, duty and the other costs of getting a piece to your warehouse.
Only your name and email are required. We reply by email with questions, or with a quote if the brief has enough to price.
